The first China International Silver Industry Exhibition (SIC2014) is expected to open on October 9 at Poly World Trade Center Expo, Guangzhou. It is the largest silver industry event in southernChina. Co-organized by China Silver Industry Association, China Poly Group Corporation and Guangdong Committee on Ageing, the exhibition will present the latest progress in China’s undertakings for the aged and silver industry, analyze China’s policies on senior care, draw on effective practices of senior care services in other countries, promote business negotiation and purchasing of senior living products and assistive devices, offer senior living facility experiencing, display home-based senor care solutions and facilitate exchanges among senior care institutions. The event expects to be an exhibition area of around 11,000 square meters, nearly 150 participating enterprises and over 10,000 buyers.

Concurrent events to be held with the exhibition feature the China International Forum on Aging and several trade fairs. The forum, with the theme “the Advancing Silver Industry in China—Opportunities and Challenges on the Value Chain”, aims to interpret China’s policies on senior care service industry, analyze the industry chain development of China’s silver industry, explore the opportunities and challenges for enterprises, and encourage exchanges and cooperation.

    Highlights of sub-forums include business models of senior care real estate, senior care in an era of information and intelligence, operation and management of senior care institutions, community and home-based senior care experience sharing, senior product design and integration, etc.
